Early family life.

Anushka Shetty born on November 7, 1980 in Mangalore to a Hindu Bunts family.her mother Uramale Prafulla.V. Shetty and father is K .N. Vittal Shetty. She had two brothers namely Sai Ramesh and Gunaranjan
she completed her high school at Eastwood High School, Bangalore. And got her BCA, in Mount Carmel College, Bangalore. College and has also trained in yoga during her college days under Bharat Thakur and now takes yoga classes.
*She is known to her close friends as Sweety.

Film career.

Anushka came into contact with director E Nivas during her Yoga classes. It was he who suggested her to Puri Jagan, thus she was selected for Telugu film  Super opposite Tollywood’s biggie Nagarjuna.for this film she  got tremendous recognition for her glamorous role in that movie.

After that she performed in Sumanth’s Mahanandi followed by a guest appearance in Stalin opposite Tollywood’s Megastar Chiranjeevi. Most of her films Vikramarkudu, Lakshyam portrayed her as a glamor doll and got the appreciation of critics.

She made debut in the Tamil film industry, in the Sundar’s directed action flick Rendu, alongsideR. Madhavan. It was a block buster movie of the year.

Astram (2006) Lakshyam (2007) did well while Okka Magadu (2008) and Baladoor (2008) failed in box office. She made up for it with Souryam (2008) and Chintakayala Ravi (2008).
Her performance as Arundhati and Jejamma in the supernatural flick Arundhati (2009) earned her positive well reviews.for this movie she acclaimed and fetched her her first Nandi Award and the Filmfare Best Actress Award.

In the year of 2009 she performed in Billa, which she acted with Prabhas as Maya became a blockbuster of the year. The same year her two releases are Varudu with Mahesh Babu and Singam with Surya.
