EARLY FAMILY LIFE.
 Aish born on 1^st November 1973 to a Hindu bunts family at Mangalore, Karnataka. Father is Krishna rai, a merchant navy officer,  and mother is vrinda rai was house wife.

Aishwarya Rai has one brother, Aditya Rai, who is three years older than her. Aditya is a film producer, and has occasionally produced films in which Rai acted. Aditya got married in early 2004.
She completed high school at Arya Vidya Mandira in Santa Cruz. And HSC in Jai Hind collage-Ruparal collage at the same time she pursue a career in modeling.
In 1994 Aish contest Miss India and won the second place. The following year she went on to win the miss world title.
FILM CAREER.
 Aish acted in controversial filmIruvar (Tamil).And won many Awards including Belgrade International Film Festival, two National Film Awards, and two Film fare Awards South.
She started career in, Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya movie with Bobby Deol. Her third movie is Jeans. This was commercial hit.
In 1999 Aish acted in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam With Salman Khan and Ajay Devagan. This movie gave first box office hit in Bollywood and first Best Actress Award for her.
In Subhash Ghai's Taal she received another Best Actress Award.
In 2000 she played major role in Mansoor Khan's Josh and in Satish Kaushik's Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai
In2001 she appeared as a supporting role in the movie Mohabbatein later that year she starred in the Kandukondain Kandukondain,(Tamil film) alongside Mammooty, Ajith Kumar and Tabu.
In 2002 Aish acted for Devadas alongside Shahrukh Khan and Madhuri Dixit. This film received a special screening at the Cannes Film Festival. And Aish got her second Film fare Best Actress Award.
In 2003 she acted Chokker Bali, Dil Ka Ristha and Kuch na Kaho.
In 2006 she played major role in Umrao Jaan and Yash Raj Films's Dhoom 2. Dhoom 2 sparked controversy for a scene of kissing between Aish and Hrithik.
In 2007 she acted Mani Rathna’s Guru. It was a story about rag to riches.
In 2008 she played as Jodha Bai in Jodha Akber alongside Hrithik Roshan.
On October 1, 2010, she acted with Rajinikanth in the Tamil movie Enthiran(Robot), which has become the biggest blockbuster in India ever. On November 19, 2010, she acted with Hrithik Roshan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Guzaarish which opened to positive reviews from critics. She will appear in Abhinay Deo's next film produced by Farhan Akhtar and Vishal Bharadwaj's next directorial venture

In 1999-2001 Aish dating and roaming with Salman Khan. After long time she married bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan.
